EMOCRACY (Democracy in the electronic age)

Our present form of democracy, the "4-year mandate",
was invented in the 18th century.
In the 18th century, it took 4 weeks to cross the Atlantic.
Today it takes 4 hours. Things speeded up, a tad, since.

Had the founding fathers - in their wisdom - forseen the
acceleration of life, they would have, surely, provided an
acceleration amendment.
But they hadn't & didn't.
Democracy, therefore, is stuck in the 18th century.

To bring democracy in line with the rest of the world
- according to the above ratio of acceleration -
ELECTIONS should be held 40x per year. (Every 9th day).
This, of course, is an ideal figure which wont be reached till
the system becomes totally automated.
For the time being, I propose a referendum on the subject.
My suggestion is elections every 9th month, with NO
CAMPAIGNING allowed. The government's deeds must speak for themselves.

A president-for-9-months, at the beginning of the 21st century,
shall return to the people the same degree of CONTROL
over their government, that the"4-year mandate" represented,
at the end of the 18th century. *

Updating democracy, shall ressurrect the government
OF the people, BY the people, FOR the people,
instead of the - presently prevailing - government(s)
OF the money-elite, BY clowns, dummies & thugs,
FOR exploitative, alien interests.

* The limit of terms, that the president may serve, should be
raised, however, from 2 to 11. The incumbent may be re-
nominated - not, neccessarily, consecutively - 11 times.
